Al Brewster Memorial Scholarship
Al Brewster loved to see new generations of those who care about the outdoors the way he did be able to follow their passions. Al was a woodcarver, fly tyer and avid fisherman.
The purpose of this scholarship is to help the future stewards of the outdoors.
To be eligible for this scholarship, the recipient must be:
- A graduating senior at a Cape Cod high school, or a graduating senior who is a family member of a Cape Cod Salties:
- Either:
- Pursuing a college degree in any outdoor-related discipline (including, but not limited to Environmental Science, Marine Biology, Wildlife Management); or
- Intending to pursue a career in Conservation Law Enforcement by attending a school that offers either a major or a concentration in Conservation Law Enforcement. Additionally, those seeking to participate in a Seasonal Law Enforcement Training Program may be eligible.
This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded each year by the Cape Cod Salties Foundation, Inc. to one eligible individual as mentioned above. In order to apply for this scholarship, applicants must submit an essay detailing their passion for the outdoors and why he or she intends to pursue a degree or career as mentioned above. Essays should be no more than 2 typed pages.
