Youth Fishing Clinic
Salties have partnered with the Department of Marine Fisheries and the Town of Yarmouth, in an annual youth fishing clinic at the Bass River Fishing Pier. Salties volunteers are joined by Marine Fisheries biologists, and Yarmouth’s DNR and Parks and Recreation personnel to teach basic saltwater angling skills. This is a FREE event for youth from 7 to 15 years old! Fishing equipment and bait are provided.
Learn to Cast Day
In partnership with the Senior Centers in Orleans and Yarmouth, Salties volunteers have provided free instruction and coaching on surf casting at local beaches typically in mid-May. Recent Learn to Cast events include:

Learn to Fish Day
Salties help with the Hook, Line, and Eel Learn to Fish event sponsored by Riverview Bait and Tackle at the Bass River Fishing Pier. Riverview supplies all the equipment and Salties volunteers and Riverview staff supply experience and knowledge. This is a great event for kids and their parents as well. (July 1, 2019)
